Who we are
Lil Films is a young production company on the Italian scene. In three years it has built a number of collaborations with other production companies and with public and private partners.
How we started
After years spent working in film production, we were looking for a place where we could make projects that move people and stay with them. We kept at it, and founded our own production company: Lil Films.
Small films, with a big heart. That is our editorial line, and every genre can find a place in it and mix with the others to serve the story.
What we look for
Lil Films looks for stories that move people and carry meaning, and that are visually strong, whatever the genre or the format. That search also led us to inclusive audiovisual work, so that more people can see themselves in what they watch: virtual tours, videos in Italian Sign Language and podcasts for blind and partially sighted audiences.
For us inclusion is not only an ethical duty: it is a creative opportunity that leads to more honest and more engaging stories.
B'Art — Artist Residencies
B'Art comes out of our interest in every form of art: a programme of artist residencies where creativity meets the genius loci of a place. Contemporary artists draw on what makes an area singular and turn it into visual narratives that bring out its character, opening new paths for cultural development and bringing a new generation of artists to a place rich in history.
Current projects
We are currently developing the animated short Il viaggio del bottone, the live action short Dove abito io and the documentary Ultimi posti disponibili.
